Frequently asked questions
How TopTravel.Reviews finds places worth the trip, ranks them and keeps the details accurate.
What is TopTravel.Reviews?
TopTravel.Reviews is a global travel discovery site. Regional editors synthesize current public ratings, recent reviews and photos to name the hotels, resorts, attractions and destinations worth the trip, and travelers add up or down votes on top.
How do I find places to stay or visit?
Start with a country in the search bar on any page, then narrow to a state, region or city and pick a category such as hotels, resorts or attractions. Results show live Google Places data, and our researched picks carry an editor pick badge.
How are the travel picks chosen?
Candidates come from live Google Places data for each destination. They are scored with a Bayesian average that balances star rating against review volume, plus bonuses for photo coverage and complete price and contact information. The top scoring candidate that has not been covered yet becomes the next pick.
Did an editor actually stay there?
Editor write-ups are research based and clearly labeled: they synthesize publicly available ratings, reviews and photos rather than a personal stay.
Are the photos real?
Yes. Every photo is served from Google Places with its original attribution. No AI generated travel images are used anywhere on the site.
How current are the ratings?
Ratings, review counts, hours and contact details are pulled from Google Places at publication and re-checked against live data before a write-up goes live, so figures reflect the state of the listing at that time.
Can I share my own take?
Yes. Vote any pick up or down, no account required. Full traveler reviews live on Google, and we summarize what recent visitors say on every page.
How often is new content published?
New destination picks publish every day across the countries we cover.
